Privacy Policy

Chichat is a marketplace that connects buyers with local vendors through WhatsApp and text messages. Chichat is operated by Elstein Unlimited Solutions LLC ("Chichat", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: admin@askchichat.com.
What we collect
- Your phone number and the name on your WhatsApp profile, or a name you give us.
- Your messages, including text, voice notes, photos and the buttons you tap.
- Order details: what you ordered, from whom, dates, pickup or delivery, and order status.
- Your area: the neighborhood you tell us, or a location you choose to share.
- Preferences you tell us, such as kashrus, dietary needs or allergies, so we don't ask every time.
- Ratings and reviews you give after an order.
- For vendors: business name, menu, prices, photos, availability, pickup area or address, and the payment methods you choose to show buyers.
- Website sign-up form: if you fill in the Join early form on askchichat.com, the details you type in (see the section below).
We do not collect card or bank numbers. If someone types one into the chat, our system detects it, hides it before it is saved, and does not pass it to the AI assistant.
How we use it
- To understand your request and show you matching vendors.
- To place your order, confirm it with the vendor, and send you updates and reminders.
- To remember your preferences and past orders so future orders are faster.
- To show vendor ratings to other buyers (only reviews you agree to publish).
- To provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the service.
Website sign-up form
The Join early form on askchichat.com asks whether you are a buyer or a vendor, your name and your email address. It also has optional fields: your phone number, your town, and, for vendors, your business name and what you sell. The form sends these details to us by email.
We use them only to contact you about Chichat, such as telling you when Chichat launches or following up about your listing. We send those messages by email. We do not text you unless you message Chichat first. We do not sell this information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Our website and email providers (listed below) handle the form data for us only to run the site and deliver the email. To be removed from our list, email admin@askchichat.com and we will delete your sign-up.
An AI assistant and our team read messages
Chichat's assistant uses artificial intelligence to understand messages and write replies. Your messages are processed by our AI provider to do this. Members of our team may also read conversations to give support, fix problems and keep the marketplace safe. You can ask to talk to a person at any time by writing "talk to a person".
Who we share it with
- The other side of your order. When you place an order, we share what the vendor needs (for example your name, the order and pickup time) with that vendor, and we share the vendor's pickup and payment details with you. We ask before sharing your details.
- Service providers who run Chichat for us and may only use the data to provide their service. Today these are: Meta (WhatsApp messaging), Telnyx (text messages and phone calls), Supabase (database and file storage), Railway (our server), Anthropic (the AI assistant), Cloudflare (our website and the email delivery for the sign-up form) and Google (our email inbox). We may add or change providers and will update this list.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
Messages between you and Chichat on WhatsApp are carried by Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. Meta handles these messages under its own terms and privacy policy, and may keep message content for a limited time. After messages reach us, we store them on our own systems so we can run your orders and support.
How long we keep it
We keep your profile and order history while you use Chichat. We delete older message logs on a regular schedule. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below), unless we must keep certain records by law.
Your choices
- Ask the assistant "what do you know about me?" to see your saved preferences, and "forget that" to remove one.
- Reply STOP to stop messages.
- Email admin@askchichat.com to see, correct or delete your data.
Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and limited staff access to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send passwords, card numbers or ID numbers in the chat.
Children
Chichat is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Text messages and mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell you in the chat.
